Air Rhodesia was the airline of the short-lived Republic of Rhodesia, created following the unilateral declaration of independence by a white minority settler community in today's Zimbabwe. Created in 1967, the airline lasted 14 years before it was replaced by Air Zimbabwe. One of its planes was shot down by Zimbabwe's liberation fighters during the war for independence.
